Cookie Policy

Last updated: April 30, 2026 · Effective: April 30, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Olova ("we", "us", "Olova") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on our website and dashboard. It works alongside our Privacy Policy.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that websites place on your device to store information about your visit — like login state, preferences, and analytics about how you use the site. They make the modern web work and let us keep you logged in across pages.

2. Cookies we use

We group our cookies into four categories:

Strictly Necessary

Required for the site to function. You can't disable these — without them you can't log in or use the dashboard.

CookiePurposeExpires

Functional

Remember your preferences (theme, language, sidebar state) so you don't have to set them each visit.

3. Third-party services

Some cookies are set by services we embed on the site:

  • Stripe / Paystack — payment processing (security cookies during checkout)
  • Google Analytics — site usage analytics (anonymized)
  • Cloudflare — DDoS protection & CDN
  • Live chat widget — chat history within a session

Each third party has its own cookie policy. We don't share your AI prompts or generations with any of them.

4. Managing cookies

You can control cookies in three ways:

  1. The cookie banner — when you first visit, you can accept all, reject non-essentials, or pick categories.
  2. Your browser — every browser lets you block or delete cookies. Note: blocking strictly-necessary cookies will break login.
  3. Per-feature opt-outs — visit Settings → Privacy to toggle analytics and marketing cookies.

5. Do Not Track (DNT)

We honor browser DNT signals. If your browser sends DNT, we automatically disable analytics and marketing cookies for your session.

6. Updates to this policy

We'll update this page if our cookie usage changes. If the change is material (e.g. new tracking partner), we'll notify you in-app and re-prompt the consent banner.
